It’s been a busy 2012 for me.. Moving, incoming baby.. but there’s been room for music here and there. ANADAMAIDE Records picked up a few of my songs from last year. Here are some clips to enjoy until the release comes out on 4/20.
Here is a clip of a new deep house track I started last week. I won’t be able to touch it again until after moving back to Seattle proper.. more on that in a separate post.
I am proud to announce my third self-released project: This Modern Depression.
**Featuring “Aces High”, one of my most played songs on SoundCloud! The fans have spoken, and the track is available for purchase for the first time!** With songs written from 2007 through 2009, This Modern Depression is making a debut as an instrumental album full of trip-hop and downtempo influence, with a twist of cinematic feeling.
You can preview and buy the album at various online retailers, including:
I didn’t post this to Tumblr when it went live.. so here you go!
This is a lovely downtempo track I made this year that I wanted to share with everyone. It’s available to listen to for free in its entirety on SoundCloud, but you can also purchase it at BandCamp if you’d like to own it.
There will be more music like this in the future. =)
Definite Ridge Recordings - “The Dark Side of the Studio” compilation out now!
Definite Ridge Recordings - “The Dark Side of the Studio” is a compilation of label artists. This compilation contains my latest house song, “This Time, I Say”. Check it out on track 3!
Available on: Juno Release date: October 5, 2011 Label: Definite Ridge Recordings (website | Facebook)
“…Definite Ridge could become a serious force to reckon with. If you dig the likes of Salted Music, 90watts or Lost My Dog, you need to be checking these guys out – they’re packing more bounce to the ounce for sure.”
I also get a nod: “…or the thoughtful, Trentemoller-esque meanderings of This Time, I Say by Sliptide – to prove this isn’t a label that’s likely to get stuck in one groove.”
Sliptide - Everything After (FREE on the Seattle SoundClouders vol.1 compilation!)
I already posted this, but this time I’m linking it from my Sliptide profile, as I shared it to groups for promotion.
Written December 25th, 2010.
Another preview of things to come, I’ve chosen “Everything After” as my song to appear on the “Seattle SoundClouders Vol.1” compilation. Our local man, Brent “Fabricator” Labasan, has compiled songs from active meetup members into this awesome free album! ( Link: http://fabricatormusic.com/2011/06/16/seattle-soundclouders-vol-1-compilation-album )
Artists on the album: Jazzyspoon Kurt Lorenz Brent “Fabricator” Labasan Sliptide James Whetzel The Googly VuDu CobraWolfShark Your City Sleeps
A preview of things to come: Sliptide - “Everything After” is a downtempo/trip-hop influenced track with a thick, loose groove. It appears for free by way of the “Seattle Soundclouders Vol.1” compilation. You can stream the whole thing and download the whole thing on Brent “Fabricator” Labasan’s website.
The audio stream on Soundcloud is a bit crunchy/garbled for my song. The downloaded version is clean and delicious.
