Sliptide - This Modern Depression (LP)

I am proud to announce my third self-released project: This Modern Depression.

**Featuring “Aces High”, one of my most played songs on SoundCloud! The fans have spoken, and the track is available for purchase for the first time!**
With songs written from 2007 through 2009, This Modern Depression is making a debut as an instrumental album full of trip-hop and downtempo influence, with a twist of cinematic feeling.

You can preview and buy the album at various online retailers, including:

I didn’t post this to Tumblr when it went live.. so here you go!

This is a lovely downtempo track I made this year that I wanted to share with everyone. It’s available to listen to for free in its entirety on SoundCloud, but you can also purchase it at BandCamp if you’d like to own it.

There will be more music like this in the future. =)

Cheers!

Sliptide - Everything After

A preview of things to come: Sliptide - “Everything After” is a downtempo/trip-hop influenced track with a thick, loose groove. It appears for free by way of the “Seattle Soundclouders Vol.1” compilation. You can stream the whole thing and download the whole thing on Brent “Fabricator” Labasan’s website.

The audio stream on Soundcloud is a bit crunchy/garbled for my song. The downloaded version is clean and delicious.

These Dreams (free download!)

by Sliptide

I’m checking out the SoundCloud URL insertion for Tumblr. I have no idea what it’s going to look like when the post is done, but hopefully it’s nice enough to keep using here on my blog.. speaking of which, I’m in “return of the blog” mode.. so I’ll share more about what I’m up to, what I’ve been doing, playing, reading, listening to, and other random crap. Why not, right? ;P

By the way (or BTW for the n00b school, hah!), this track is a free download. ^_- Enjoy.

**Edit**

I don’t see the album art and links showing up like they probably should in my theme.. so here’s the URL just in case ya need it: http://soundcloud.com/sliptide/these-dreams/ — yes, this has been ‘out’ for awhile, but it was a candidate for testing. =)

Sean Armstrong: 2011 Sampler - Updated for February

I’ve updated the 2011 project sampler set to include music I’ve been working on in February! Two downtempo tracks and a bunch of deep house with some bits of tech influenced goodness this month. Enjoy!

Sliptide - Prime (downtempo, unreleased/unsigned)

This one shows some of the new direction I’ve been taking with my music. This sound retains a lot of the ‘chill’ in my Sliptide works, but steers me towards a more beat-driven trip-hop blended style.

Sliptide - “Getting Into Position”

Here’s a new song that really brought me back into downtempo dwellings. I’ve put some “indie” spins on a lot of the new music that’s in line with this one, while other works are definitely some deep trip-hop.

Downtempo & Trip-Hop

Downtempo & Trip-Hop by sliptide Downtempo & Trip-Hop by sliptide

I’m working on some concept designs for the new sliptide.com, and I may use some combination of WordPress and Tumblr.  I’m very interested in presenting music on my site leveraging SoundCloud’s sets.

I can easily integrate the latest tunes on my website that way, and provide playlists that are collections of songs, remixes, works in progress… It should be rather awesome!

Furthermore, using Tumbler I can more effectively write journal entries, blog, and continue to maintain a connection with my website.

The static pages will be just that.. static pages managed by wordpress.

Hmmm.. time to bust out the trusty notebook for some drawing. Photoshop when I get home.
